Via the ever well informed Katabasis my attention has been drawn to the rather worrying seizure of computers owned by UK climate sceptic bloggers. Apparently at the behest of the U.S. Department of Justice as other climate bloggers have received nasty grams (cache) from our friends across the pond. Last I checked the climategate e-mails [...]

When fitwatch was taken down I commented that the powers that be should have gone after the DNS provider as that would be harder to fix, and so it has come to pass that the DNS for wikileaks has been “confiscated”. So via facebook it seems someone on twitter has suggested that everyone who has [...]

Once more just redirecting you to someone else’s genius idea (or less honestly sharing a link), but the idea of warning labels for journalism is just too excellent not to share. Tom Scott has produced a set of warning labels for sticking onto news reports and has made them downloadable as a PDF for avery [...]

Ok, this is silly and childish, but equally maybe amusing. A friend* of mine reports that Mooncup are having a poll as to what women call their vagina’s, but it won’t let anyone say that they call their vagina a cunt. Which afore mentioned friend rather objects to, reading that reminded me of a campaign [...]

Just been pointed at a shiny new website from Cyberium/George Monbiot (hat tip : Her Ladyship at Tora Towers). http://www.arrestblair.org/ The stated aim of the site is: “This site offers a reward to people attempting a peaceful citizen’s arrest of the former British prime minister, Tony Blair, for crimes against peace. Via Anna Racoon a rather thought provoking article from Not born yesterday. As quite a few other people have also done I shall just reproduce the first paragraph: “The Prime Minister of Great Britain is a man too ill to be holding the Office.” This was the conclusion last week of a senior civil servant [...]

I’ve been resisting doing the whole list of must read post things for a while now but The Salted Slug is talking far too much sense to not bring it to everyone’s attention. So for my inaugral “must read” post list: The Salted Slug reveals the real power behind the governments. Bookmark to:web design

Just back from holiday were interactions with local police and PCSO’s gives me some hope that bastions of sanity still exist. However meantime two campaigns that really need advertising, even though they’re a bit old and I’m sure most people have seen them.
