Us and them

As I’m for the moment actually going into the office to work, I’m once more looking through the metro and two articles rather caught my eye, partly for the content but more so for the juxtaposition of what they reported. Make Room! Make Room!

Guido has done a rather nice job of highlighting the hypocrisy of George Monbiot’s latest article suggesting that people should be “encouraged” to make sure as many people live in their house as possible. From his proposals I assume he’s recently discovered the works Harry Harrison, perhaps it was on telly over Christmas.
