Given I’m rather in favour of leaving the EU (more of which later) I thought I’d look at some of the things been said by those who hold the differing view. The undemocratic drive of the remain campaign

Many many words have been written about how undemocratic the EU is, and its lack of accountability and responsiveness to its citizens and local demands – so I’m not going to talk about that. Instead I’ll just ask if anyone else has noticed how many of the remain campaign seem to actually see this lack of democracy as a feature? if the EU over rules a national government or local body to implement a policy they agree with then that’s a plus for the EU and who care what the people want. Everyday tax avoidance

So once more tax is in the news and the world and their dog seems to up in arms about people “avoiding” tax. Tax avoidance seems to currently be the fashionable thing to hate and who cares about the law or justice. Many people have said it before but it seems it’s worth repeating, tax evasion is illegal and naughty, tax avoidance is legal and is actually sometimes used by the state to encourage certain behaviors.
