Sadly problems with trains have stopped me getting to work today, and with my laptop in the office I have unexpected time on my hands so I may be updating a bit today. So whilst I defrost it seems that we may in fact be in for some global cooling and recent warming may not be man made after all, but it’s just temporary warming will resume before too long honest (hat tip Old Holborn).

Also after the monumentally bad move by our home secretary to ban Islan4UK, for saying nasty things that people didn’t like (they’ll no doubt form up under a new name within the week I suggest the “peoples front for Islam in the UK” not to be confused with the “Islam for UK people front”). Anyway meantime Anjem Choudary get’s to be all put upon and persecuted, taking a leaf from the BNP’s book. So as incredibly well summarised buy The nameless libertarian – the government has yet again takes the worst possible option putting the boot into free speech and giving Islam4UK more publicity than any march could hope to achieve. Joy.

Having recently been reading all sorts of things on the freeman of the land and lawful rebellion front, it occurred to me that some people might also be interested in the obscure but much simpler method for formally leaving the Roman Catholic church. As they count you as a member unless you convert to another faith and even then sometimes. The whole idea of being “lapsed” is somewhat of a myth. So here for those that are interested are two rather useful links.

Firstly we have a Vatican document discussing just what the criteria are for someone to formally renounce their faith. The second a rather handy Irish website that has put the whole three step process On line.

Much as I hate to have two posts in a row just pointing you at other articles, but I’m just going to have to live with that.

First off there is a rather ill thought out advert to persuade us all to get ID cards – apparently so that we can be executed, as spotted by The Register (do read the comments) and taken up by Big Brother Watch.

Which rather ties in with another excellent article from the keyboard of Leg Iron – a hypothetical future where people without ID chips get pulled from the street. Go read it and decide how unlikely it seems to you.

In the comments on LegIrons article was an anonymous link to a rather interesting if possibly a bit tinfoil hat video about the Codex Alimentarius – rather long but actually interesting enough to watch all the way through.
