Petition for the Falkland Islanders

It may not have escaped your attention that those Argentinian types are once more rattling sabres and demanding we had over the Falkland Islands, in the hope of distracting attention from problems at home. In response to these demands for “negotiation” over sovereignty the islanders had a vote which resoundingly said “no thanks we’ll stay British”, now in these enlightened times where indigenous self determination and democracy is all the rage you’d expect that to be the end of it, or at least for our staunchest allies to leap to our defense. Blog off

Following a rather dubious bit of political chicanery in the early hours, but not in a smoke filled room, our glorious leaders along with friends of Mr Huge Grunt have cooked up a typical mess of a piece of legislation to regulate “the press”. Of course this ignores that everything the press supposedly need to be regulated for was already illegal, and the editors and such could probably have been done on conspiracy charges, nope new legislation was needed #hackedoff insisted on it, and they got it and it went far beyond what Levesson proposed. A personal mile stone

Forgive the excessive number of navel gazing posts that this blog has indulged in of late, and allow me one more. This it seems is my 500th post – which given I started this back in 2011 just to post a write up of Old Holborns first little walk isn’t bad going.
