The technical issues seem to be resolved, at least until my provider see’s fit to change things again without letting me know, work has even calmed down a bit which is why I’m sat in a hotel room eating room service pizza. Gay marriage and democracy

According to the Guardian the majority of people in the UK now support the legalization of gay marriage. A term I find odd as it’s not really illegal for gay people to marry it’s just not recognized, which may be splitting hairs but I think points to the way in which the survey was probably phrased. I am it seems learning to be ever less trustful of polls and how they can be slanted. Christianity ‘close to extinction’ in Middle East – Telegraph

A troubling article in the Telegraph via Harry’s place: Christianity close to extinction in the Middle East Regardless of what you may think about the power structures of any of the Christian sects this is persecution of ordinary people trying to live ordinary lives. Apart from a few blogs and newspaper articles like this the level of persecution is getting very little attention, the cynic in me wonders if that’s due to the faith of the persecutors or the persecuted. +1-1
