More Olympic nonsense

I wasn’t going to write another article about the Olympics so soon honest I wasn’t and hopefully when they actually begin I’ll shut up about them. However it’s hard to keep quiet when it’s being proposed that there will be special Olympic Offences because it’s extra bad if you break the law in a way that disrupts the Olympics. Losing the battle already

I know I shouldn’t extrapolate from a few face book comments to tar an entire group with the same broad brush, but this recent post to the CAMRA group on face book convinces me that some people really aren’t paying attention. In fact they’re obviously paid so little attention that the battle to save booze from the same fate as has so far befell smoking has probably been lost already. This blog would like to make it clear how very proud it is not to be an Olympic sponsor for the London 2012 games this summer. Following what must surely become known as chip gate the level of paranoia exhibited by the official sponsors turns out to exceed that of our security forces.
