I’m afraid I must indulge in that most terrible of things, a blog post about blogging. Having had to think about why I joined OH on hist first little stroll and why I continued almost on my own the other day I also started to think about why I’m writing here and what I want to achieve with both of them if anything. +1-1
Over at Samizdata it’s reported that Gert Wilders is on trial for his film Fitna. A film which saw him banned from the UK despite not having broken any law and being invited here by the Lords. The BBC cover the matter briefly when you consider the precedent this trial will have on freedom of speech across Europe – as so eruditely expounded by Archbishop Cranmer (from where I’ve shamelessly stolen the image used here). For those of you that already read the tech news site The Register, sorry for drawing your attention to three rather interesting articles on there today. Following on from Anna Raccoon’s article on ASBO’s given to prostitutes/a> the register observes that the police normally object to people publishing details of suspects under investigation.
