Welcome to censorship Britain

From this month following repeated nudges from the Government Britain no longer has an uncensored internet by default. As of this month BT will be asking all new customers what level of internet censorship they want. Whilst this is being described as a porn filter, it’s quite clear that even at the “light” level it’s not just “porn” that’s being blocked. Following a rather dubious bit of political chicanery in the early hours, but not in a smoke filled room, our glorious leaders along with friends of Mr Huge Grunt have cooked up a typical mess of a piece of legislation to regulate “the press”. Censor the internet for the cheeeldren!

Internet filtering once more being pushed by the powers that be according to the Inquirer. Not going for out right censorship this time though, nope this time it’s for the children (as allegedly parents have been crying out to have the state block naughty things for their precious off spring as they can’t be arsed). So when you sign up to an ISP they’ll have to quiz you on who’s in your house and then encourage you to accept a suitable level of censorship.
