(Another one first posted over at Drinkuary.org) Whilst it can seem that the world and dog are after our money at this time of year, here’s a worthy cause for your attention: Cocktails in Care Homes “Cocktails in Care Homes is a project run by arts charity Magic Me. Every week Magic Me volunteers visit a local (Tower Hamlets) care home to host an evening cocktail party. Residents get dressed up and look forward to the special occasion. This article was originally posted on Drinkuary.org I do apologise for mixing my metaphors (or possibly even my metafives, amongst friends who’s counting) and I would observe that my beer as you can see is wearing it’s finest tin foil hat (There are bonus points if you can identify what I’m drinking behind the fantastic photo editing*). With the dumbing down of education and politics and the rise of the new priests of the green god, the god of offense and the god of “health” – who have all demanded that the scientific method, facts and truth be perverted and sacrificed upon their altars the endarkenment is surely upon us.
