A summer stroll

As public minded citizens Katabasis and I, have determined to risk our sanity and plan to venture to the wilds of sunny Stratford (Not the on upon Avon nor the Stony variety but the one where those Olympic thingies are happening). Now whilst we would obviously normally obey the government diktat advice that all non-approved citizens should avoid the area around the London 2012 games, we have a mission. That mission as I’ve burbled about before is to make sure that people are aware of the danger they may be in wearing garments not produced by the relevant approved sponsors (though apparently Lord Seb has since changed his mind about that risk), or if they’re partaking in any sort of commercial transaction using one of the special words. After all we wouldn’t want anyone getting into trouble by being unaware that mentioning they had say “a beer garden ideal for a drop of London pride this summer” could result in a fine.

No this we can not stand idly by and allow to happen, so in suitably informative t-shirts and accompanying leaflets we shall perambulate around the environs of east London making sure that people are aware of the risk they may unknowingly be in. If you fancy joining us for this work we may well be in the nearby Wetherspoons for a spot of luncheon and a fortifying drop of something fermented around midday on Sunday (5ht Aug 2012). With luck it will be a gold summer day in London so we can enjoy the Olympic spirit (or failing that a drop of spirits in the bar).
