State of protest in the US

Whilst this is only a single person account of the events and police behaviour, and so I have a pinch of salt handy, even if the report is exaggerated the use of mace on a reportedly peaceful crowd and arresting everyone on a street even if they’ve only just arrived. This mask was made for walking

My recent post about the state of affairs in Whitby reminded me that just after the Whitby Goth weekend is another day when I tend to dress up and go around looking silly. By which of course I’m referring to the now traditional* walk around Westminster in the guise of Guy Fawkes. Hopefully Old Holborn will lead the way again, as he much better at it than I. local grumblings from Whitby

I’m not a Whitby local, but due to being of a dodgy Gothic persuasion I seem to have spent quite a bit of time there over the last 10 plus years. For anyone who’s never been there it’s a lovely place and well worth the visit, but it’s been the suspicion amongst some gothic Whitby goers for a while that Scarborough council (which covers Whitby as well) has been rather jealous of Whitby’s popularity and has tried to push events out of Whitby in the hopes they’d end up in Scarborough.
