Another repeating first

Taking a break to talk about climate or weather or something. A friend of mine posted a link to an article reporting the first boat to sail the northwest passage. Thus proving how terribly global warming is, as Artic see ice is now at the lowest since records began (1979). The article that’s based on at least is sensible enough to say that “The international three-man crew — an American, Canadian and Swede — claim to have piloted the first sailboat to do so.” (emphasis mine). Something rotten in global warming data

I suspect by now you’ve probably already seen the press release from Antony Watts if carry on nothing new to see here. If you haven’t read it go read it now. Then consider how many policies have been driven by, and how much money has been squandered based on flawed temperature data to solve a problem which looks likely doesn’t exist. Then remember that they’d have you believe that the science is settled, then feel free to be very annoyed. Reality lag

I do hope you’ll indulge me in a lightly referenced post, but having just watched the BBC news I have a slight need to rant. Plus if you read many of the blogs I link to you’ll already be aware of many of the things I’ll mention. The BBC tonight had a “news” article about the problems of keeping the lights on in the UK, due to massive lack of investment in our power infrastructure, so far so good.
